Images of Validated Otoliths

    These pages will be a repository for images for which we are reasonably confident as to their ages. Images will only be included if they have been part of an age validation study. The images below are cross sections of sagittae, viewed with reflected light. 

    We would like to invite other researchers to contribute validated images of their own species (see Home for contact address).
