Tana Worcester is originally from Vancouver, BC. She graduated from UBC with a Bachelors in Chemistry and Biochemistry, and then completed a post-baccalaureate diploma in Environmental Science. She worked for a number of years in the non-profit sector before travelling to Halifax to pursue a Masters of Marine Management at Dalhousie University. She then accepted a position with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) as an environmental assessment biologist. In 2003, she started work with DFO's Centre for Science Advice in the Maritimes Region as a science advisor on a variety of oceans and habitat-related issues. In November 2007, Tana became the Coordintor of the Centre for Science Advice - Maritimes Region.
