Kirsten Querbach completed a Master's degree at Dalhousie University in the Oceanography Department in the Spring of 2002. Subsequently, she worked for the Center for Marine Biodiversity as a marine biodiversity biologist. Her tasks entailed research, website creation and maintenance, state of the ecosystem reporting, and public outreach. She is currently working as a species at risk biologist for the Species at Risk Coordination Office. Kirsten is involved in recovery team planning and implementation, critical habitat issues and species at risk research initiatives. She also coordinates the Habitat Stewardship Program for the DFO Maritimes Region, which is a Federal funding program for stewardship projects on species at risk.
