Mr. Derek Fenton
Derek works for the Oceans and Coastal Management Division of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (Maritimes Region). Derek received a B.A. (Hons. Geography) from Saint Mary's University in 1993 and a Master of Environmental Studies (M.E.S) from Dalhousie University in 1996. His current projects include the development and management of protected areas such as the Sable Gully, deep sea coral conservation, and management initiatives for Species at Risk. Other interests and responsibilities include protected area system planning, public awareness and education, and sea use mapping.
