General notes for conference attendees and answers to common questions regarding the conference.

  • Question: I am a presenter, do I have to pay the registration fee?
    • ANSWER: NO, the conference fees and cost of one banquet ticket are waived for presenters. Additional banquet ticket must be purchased separately.
  • Question: I am a attendee, how do I pay my registration fee?
    • Answer: Send cheque or money order in either Canadian or US funds to

  • Question: How do I prepare my poster for the conference?
    • All posters should be emailed as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file to
      claytonv@mar.dfo-mpo.gc.ca as soon as they are ready. Posters received on or
      before Sept 24 will be printed at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. Posters
      should be no larger than 36" x 48" and not contain Arial font characters. PDF
      files will be put on the OBI website at the end of the conference.
  • Question: How do I prepare my presentation?
    • ANSWER: All oral presentations should be emailed as a Microsoft Power Point (PPT) or Portable Document File (PDF) files to claytonv@mar.dfo-mpo.gc.ca as soon as they are ready. Either file type can be presented at the conference. PPT files (converted to PDF) and PDF files (as given) will be put on the OBI website at the end of the conference.
  • Question: How do I confirm that I am registered?
    • ANSWER: Please browse the registered attendees available from this link

  • Question: How can I change details about my presentation and/or my registration?
