Student Opportunities

The Canadian Healthy Oceans Network will expect to train at least 20 PhD, 17 MSc, and 37 undergraduate students in biodiversity and ocean health-related research over the next five years.  As part of a large Network, CHONe students can anticipate an enhanced graduate experience through…

• Working with more than one supervisor (receive interdisciplinary training), possibly in more than one location on cutting edge science and technology projects.
• Interacting with government scientists, policy makers, and industry.
• Working in government labs thereby gaining experience with different perspectives and foci.
• Receiving targeted training to communicate scientific knowledge to non-academic audiences.
