Maureen Woodrow is an Adjunct Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa and Executive Director of the Ocean Management Research Network, a national network of researchers in Canada with an interest in research relating to the management of ocean uses (www.omrn-rrgo.ca). She is a sociologist whose interests lie in area of community socio-economic development and related environmental issues. She has field experience in several Canadian rural locations as well as in Mexico and Northern Wales. She is currently collaborator for a Comparative Global Change Scenarios project in South American whose Principal Investigator is based at the Centre for Sustainable Development at the University of Brasilia.  She is fluent in French and has a good working knowledge of Spanish.
