Mark Abrahams

Dr. Mark Abrahams is the Dean of Science, with academic appointments to both the Department of Biology and the Ocean Sciences Centre.  He is also an adjunct professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Manitoba and member of the Canadian Rivers Institute at the University of New Brunswick.  He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Zoology from the University of Western Ontario, an M.Sc. in Biology from Queen’s University and a Ph.D. in Biology from Simon Fraser University.  Before moving to Memorial University in 2008, he spent 18 years at the University of Manitoba where he was the Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Science, the founding director of the Aquatic Biology Research Group, and a Professor in the Department of Biology.
